Combining 3D, 2D and game engine workflow. Initial idea sketches were used as a starting point whilst learning Maya. Taking a 2D sketch and transforming it into a 3D object was a great way of learning the basics. The final beauty shot of the 3D model was rendered out and textured and detailed in Photoshop to create a Key Art scene. Following this I implemented the image into Unity game engine and added some animation and a clean UI design overlay to give a solemn feel to the eerie atmosphere.
The concept of the reconnaissance vessel was influenced by the lo-fi sci-fi aesthetic of films Alien and Blade Runner.
