About Raskol
The brief was to create an alternate history game featuring a 2D representation of the 3D game world as an integral gameplay element.
Raskol is Russian for schism/divide, and takes place in the wintery wastelands of a fragmented Russia in the wake of WWI. Players control siblings Oksana & Matvei — Orthadox soldiers fighting for their freedom, and to reinstate their religion to a now Godless land.
Players are required to scout using foot soldier Matvei, and give commands to sister Oksana the tank commander via a map displaying enemies and obstructions. Their missions require strategy and vigilance to overcome the awaiting obstacles.
