About Hell’s Island
As part of Payday 2’s annual Crimefest live event, a storyline and level was developed where players needed to infiltrate a remote island prison facility in order to rescue Bain - the mastermind behind the Payday gang.
I developed some initial concepts to visualise the location, as well as scenes to depict elements of gameplay. The location was influenced by the craggy islands found off the coast of Scotland, and an old castle modified into a maximum security prison.
I designed a logo to give the heist an identity. The initials of the Hell’s Island heist were used to illustrate the location, depicting the castle turrets and lighthouse. I also created a series of achievement icons, designed to match the stylized Payday 2 aesthetic.
